Motueka, N.Z. - 10th May 2009

We have moved North in N.Z. - on our way to Niue !  We arrive at Alofi airport on Niue at 1.30pm Niue time on Saturday 16th May (= 0030 UTC on Sunday 17th May) - considering travel, weather, darkness etc. I hope to be QRV by 2000 Niue time (= 0700 UTC on Sunday 17th May) - probably on 40m CW/SSB initially with other bands following a.s.a.p.  If it gets dark too early or there are other delays, I will not be QRV until about 1700 GMT.

We are staying at the Namukulu Motel (as visited by other DXpeditions), which has Wi-Fi internet in the motel units - I hope to use this to upload QSOs to LoTW every few days and this 'Latest news' page will become a Blog/Feedback page. I have been gathering more information about Niue and what life will be like there for 5 weeks - will post this background info soon.
